sbo666 LIVERPOOL are willing to rival Barcelona for one of the Spanish side's top summer targets in Sevilla defender Clement Lenglet, according to Don Balon. The Spanish outlet claim that the £142 million generated from Philippe Coutinho’s sale to the Catalan club in January will be used towards a move for Lenglet, having failed in their attempts to convince the Brazilian playmaker to stay at Anfield for the second half of the season.

French defender Lenglet - who played against the Reds in the Champions League group stages earlier this season - has enjoyed an excellent second season with the La Liga club. So much so, that Lenglet - who has made 48 appearances across all competitions and scored four goals this term - has emerged as first choice for Barca as they look to strengthen their defence.

That’s given the potential for Samuel Umtiti to leave the Nou Camp this summer with a contract extension yet to be agreed and his current deal containing a €60million (£52m) release clause - reportedly attracting the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester United.

But Barca will face competition for 22-year-old Lenglet, say Don Balon. That's because Lenglet is said to be viewed as a vital component of Jurgen Klopp’s future plans and the German boss will supposedly do everything in his power to bring the centre-back to Anfield. sbo666

Virgil van Dijk has strengthened the Reds’ back-line since a £75m arrival in January but the Reds boss is said to be keen to further bolster his back-line. And given Lenglet’s experience and ability, the France Under-21 international - who helped Sevilla knock Man United out of Europe last month - is viewed as the ideal acquisition to add more depth given how the tendency for Joel Matip and Dejan Lovren to pick up niggling injuries.

Don Balon suggest that former Nancy man Lenglet has welcomed Barca’s interest, but will only sign for the club in the case that he becomes a crucial member of Ernesto Valverde’s team. Barca cannot guarantee that condition unless Umtiti leaves, potentially offering Liverpool encouragement, especially if Barca make progress in their contract talks with Lenglet’s compatriot Umtiti. sbo666

wwwpic5678 Sol Bamba was the only Cardiff player named in either the EFL or PFA Championship Teams of the Year, despite the fact Neil Warnock's side are closing in on a remarkable promotion to the Premier League. Cardiff's success has been built more on team effort than individual performances, but should more of their players have been included? We take a look at three who deserved more recognition...

Signed from Walsall on a free transfer, Etheridge has been fantastic between the sticks and undeniably deserves more credit for his performances in 2017/18. The 28-year-old has only missed one league game all season, and that was a 2-1 defeat to QPR on New Year's Day, conceding fewer goals (33) than John Ruddy (36), while the Wolves goalkeeper made both the EFL and PFA Teams of the Year. Should Cardiff be promoted and Etheridge keep the No 1 jersey, then it would be a surprise return to the Premier League for the former Fulham academy player. He spent eight years at Craven Cottage but never made an appearance in the top flight. wwwpic5678

Sean Morrison
Bamba was named in the PFA Team of the Year, but the Cardiff captain has just as much of a case for inclusion as his central defensive partner. Morrison has kept as many clean sheets as Bamba (14) in seven fewer appearances and it's not too surprising that his absence in December coincided with the club's major dip of the season, as the Bluebirds lost four games in a row over Christmas. He has also scored four goals this campaign, including a vital goal strike in a 1-0 win over Middlesbrough in February, and won a remarkable 358 aerial duels, 91 more than Wolves pair Willy Boly and Conor Coady combined.

Junior Hoilett
Hoilett waited for Warnock to find a club in the summer of 2016 before joining him at Cardiff, and their relationship has proved incredibly fruitful for the Bluebirds. The winger has enjoyed the finest season of his career and is finally showing signs of fulfilling the potential he showed at Blackburn in the Premier League. Hoilett has scored fewer goals than the likes of Bobby Reid, Albert Adomah and Matej Vydra, who all received recognition in the Teams of the Year, but has as many assists (11) as Reid and Adomah combined, and has created significantly more chances (80) than all three. wwwpic5678
